They finally have rated the movie Kingdom of Heaven...unfortunately, though as expected, it is rated R. And unfortunately...I will still be to young to go see it (unless I have a parent--fat chance!) when it comes out. I understand that it is rated "R" for gore, violence, blood, and sex, but you'd think that the director would be out to make money and edit it a little bit more so all the freakish teenaged girls would be able to go and drool...but I guess that is just how Ridley Scott does his movies. It just makes me mad!

LOL! You could prolly get in here; our local theatre doesn't enforce the restricted rating very well. I do not think it looks like a very good movie, if that is any consolation. 'Course, I will be seeing it anyway, as Orli is absolutely to die for in it. ;-)

Our theater didn't used to check to much, but now you have to have a special card to get in if you are underage and if it is questionable, you have to show your id. I could just sneek in but I am too much of a goodie-good-girl to do that. I kinda think that it would be an awesome movie, I mean Ridley Scott is known for making awesome movies: Gladiator, Hannibal...grr

What my friends and I used to do when we were too young to go to a movie was to go to the theatre and just ask someone in line if you could give them the money and they could buy your ticket and if you could walk in with them, that way it looks like you're with them and the theatre people don't bother you.
Most people are nice about it and don't mind doing it, some others it works for if you give them a couple dollars.

Any chance your mum or one of your friends' mums might go with you?

After talking/begging it over with my mom and dad, they said that they MAYBE could come with me and go to it...but my mom made it very clear that she wanted to read review and ratings and wait until her friend saw it to tell her EXACTLY why it is rated R....I still dont get it though...they had no problem with me going to see The Matrix *shrug* oh well...Everybody else...Have a great time when you go to see it in May! I am still keeping my hopes up to go...I mean..the movie looks so awesome! I would want to go see it even if Orlando Bloom wasn't in it!

I just saw a Canadian movie poster for KoH today, and as I guessed, it is only rated 14A here. I always loved that growing up...if something was rated R in the states, we could get in when we were only 14. Lol, sorry to make a sore point even sorer, but you know, if you live near the canadian border or are planning to visit anytime soon, our ratings could work to your advantage.

A well worth the effort it would be, too. What a great movie! I did not expect to like it at all, and now I have seen it twice already.
