Howdy gang,
The RR is back to writer #1 (me), Gwenneth’s section is a reasonable ending, and board participation has slackened off to a tad above nil, so…do we end it or go on?
I realize that it appears a bit suspicious to ask the question when it is my turn to write, but I have no ulterior-motives. Truly! I am quite willing to write. Thus, I am not voting. I want to know what you want to do.

Karri, I would have voted, except none of the vote categories really expressed my feelings! See...I went back and read my post and it DOES seem like a feesible ending. A hopeful feeling that Legolas can survive his time on Middle-Earth until Aragorn leaves.
Yet...I kind of wish to see them safely...somewhere...I don't know why. How about...a sequel or something? A story that takes place after they have returned to Minas Tirith with their wounds...it could involve the twins...heck even the birth of Eldarion in there somewhere.
We could hit on Legolas' Sea-longing being subdued, maybe have him thinking on it from a tower in Minas Tirith and he can talk to someone...Arwen...El and El. I dunno...I kind of think the story may be at an end...though the stranger might like his loose end being tied up...
just my two cents worth. I vote for a sequel beginning at their arrival in Minas Tirith.

I read the round robin story, and I think you guys were doing an awesome job! I like your idea, kate, of doing a sequel!!! That would be good! Great job guys! I will be willing to help if you need it. -Amanda

Hmm, I didn't vote becasue I'm still not too sure on my opinion. On the one hand, where Gwenneth finished does seem like a good place to end, but on the other hand, it seems a little weird to end it without explaining who the stranger was. But I could go either way on this, so whatever the majority votes, I'll probably be fine with.

LOL! Umm....everyone opting out of voting sort makes a poll mute, eh. Gwenneth - the dynamic duo are pretty far from Minas Tirith at the moment. The are somewhere between Bree and the Shire. So mostly likely a sequel would need to start in one of those two places. We could easily start a sequel in Crickhollow (Merry and Pippin's House) and have the hobbit gang get riled up about a mysterious big person shooting perfectly good elves in their very own back yard. Or we could start a sequel in Tom Bombadil's house and have Tom doing his omnipotent, omniscient, but gonna leave you in the dark thing. Either of those scenerios could develop into some plausible big people scheming. One possibility would be bandits raiding the barrows of the Barrow Downs. Another possibility would be that the stranger is part of a remnant of Saruman's henchmen who were chased out of the Shire, but are plotting their revenge. Yet another possibility is that the stranger is part of a gang of theives that have been harrassing travelers as they leave Bree, and he trailed them from Bree to the Old Forest, thinking they looked wealthy, but also dangerous enough that he waited for just the moment of vulnerability to attack. All of this, however, could also just be continued in this story. The ending of your last section ties up the Legolas-inner-angst plot thread, but that still leaves room to continue until we tie up the still dangling stranger plot thread Shadowfax - new authors are welcome to sign on anytime, so if you would like to write you are welcome, but do not feel pressured into it. We are managing fine with what have, too. Joee - Yup, Gwenneth's section tied up the Legolas inner turmoil plot thread in a neat little bow, but there is certainly room still to continue until the stranger plot thread is also tied up. If you are interested in continuing, then we can certainly do so.

We could easily start a sequel in Crickhollow (Merry and Pippin's House) and have the hobbit gang get riled up about a mysterious big person shooting perfectly good elves in their very own back yard. HEY...I *really* like this idea. Instead of a sequel though, maybe continuing on to Crickhollow is a good idea! That is close...they could use Legolas' nasty wounds as an excuse to head to familiar, friendly territory...and we could explain the bit with the stranger...perhaps Crickhollow has been having Big Men trouble too... Thanks for the hopping bunny Karri! And yeah Amanda, if you feel like jumping in on this, I know you have good ideas...you would do just fine!!!

LOL I'm the one who voted that we continue..... every time I watched something on TV or read a story where it ended before things were totally resolved for my fav character...(like Legolas lying in the woods injured, LOL!)...I would get so mad, LOL! That's how I feel, anyway, lol...... I know, I know, I say 'lol' too much.....lol

All right, I finally made up my mind and voted. I think we should just continue. I'm all for them heading to Crickhollow, but more then that, I want to figure out who this stranger is.

HEAR HEAR!!!
*awaits Karri's post*
I've never written a fic that took place in Crickhollow...so perhaps someone could describe it real well before getting to my turn to post...Karri...that would be only you wouldn't it??
*smiles mischievously*
And Deana you had an excellent point about watching something on film that just didn't tie up the loose ends.

LOL thanks Gwen! I used to be a big fan of Hawaii Five-O, the awesome cop show of the 60's and 70's...(I know, I know, my MOM was younger than me when that show was on, lol!) and they had a habit of ending episodes before the plot was actually finished! It drove me INSANE! I ended up writing my own epilogues for episodes, ROTFL, because I needed to have it end 'for real'! LOL!
