Yes indeed, there will be an Epilogue to Scruff--and *sigh* I swore that story would be a one-shot, but people have been asking.... ;D
There will be a Sequel. Heh heh heh.... run now.
What I would like to know is this: do people want to see the Twins continue to take it tough from our beloved Wood-Elf? Or do they want more of Legolas ruling the world? (grin)
Or is there something else in mind.... heh heh heh....
Basically the time-line would be the weeks between the Council of Elrond, which was in the autumn I believe, and Yule, when they actually departed on the Fellowship Tour. PLENTY of time for them to get into trouble uhh, I mean have interesting adventures....
And there will probably be a third story as well, eventually, because someone gave me a plot bunny about "What would the wedding reception be like, with those three about?" :-) Oh the humanity.... or is that Ai the Elfness.... ;-)
What're your thoughts?

Woo! Not one, but two new "Scruff" stories in the works. Oh, Jasta! That is most generous of you! It is just too much fun to see Legolas stay a step ahead of our beloved twins, so I have to vote for Legolas continuing to rule the world.

I think Legolas should rule the world and make the twins take it tough. Why not kill two birds with one stone lol. After all if Legolas is ruling wouldn't his way of ruling atleast include a little bit a pain for the twins lmao?? I mean he does do it soo well.

Ordinarily in series of related stories, I hate to see any one character rule the world continuously. But as the saying goes, there's an exception to every rule. Scruff Factor's Legolas is an exception. The idea of "Middle Earth's most adorable hooligan since Maglor" NOT ruling in the end is almost sacrilege in my mind. Oh, and to show how much I love Scruff Factor and how many times I've read it.... That description of Legolas, said by Elrond to Gandalf towards the end of chapter 2, was quoted from memory. *LKK smirks & pats herself on the back* ;D

And now for my just desserts for trying to show off ...
The quote is "Ennor's most adorable hooligan since Maglor", not Middle Earth's. And the chapter number is 4, not 2.
*sigh*
You would think that after some 40 years, I would have learned by now that every time I try to show off, I screw it up. You would think that I would know better and keep quiet. But, oh no! Time and time and time again, I open my big mouth and insert my foot. I just can't seem to stop. Every single ti.....

*wanders off, muttering rants about herself to herself* LOL! I talk to myself like that all the time.... No ranting at yourself now. :-) It's OK! I don't always remember that comment properly myself. But yes, Legolas is adorable and he CAN be a hooligan.... :-) Thanks for all your nice words, everyone! Jasta

It was a good bit of showing off, LKK, even if it wasn't dead on. I could not even quote my own stories that well (in fact I have to go back and check the previous chapters of Bitterness several dozen times as I write each new chapter and still I miss things -- such as...anyone notice where I left Legolas's quiver, for I seem to have misplaced it?)

such as...anyone notice where I left Legolas's quiver, for I seem to have misplaced it?) I haven't checked this, but didn't he lose it early on? When he fell down into the ravine? PS: Does this mean another chapter of Bitterness might be showing up soon?

Yes, there should be one fairly soon, depending on the tenacity of this cold. (I won't specify how soon is soon, cause that always seems to jinx it. )

such as...anyone notice where I left Legolas's quiver, for I seem to have misplaced it? In an effort to help speed up the delivery date on this chapter, I went back and did a quick search and I think the last time you mention his quiver is when Aragorn removes it from Legolas when they are seeking shelter in the cave, right before the twins show up. Hope this helps ;D

Yes, that is quite helpful. Thank you, Joee! (My brain gets ridiculously preoccupied with trivial details like that one.) And with that, we now returned you to the previously schedule program, er, author... hands Jasta her thread back.

*snicker* Actually, Legolas was wondering if anyone had found his mithril hair-clasp yet.
And if not, WHY not.... *heh heh heh....*
Cheers, Jasta (who is also looking forward to the next chapter of "Bitterness"

So.... it looks to me as if people *like* delightfully-evil Legolas, who is always a step ahead of folks. Hmmm.... Okay, that works. ;D Now I know precisely what to do.
Heh heh heh....
Tonight and tomorrow are my writing times. Be afraid.
