I'm sorry. You've probably got better things to do than sit and listen to me complain. But I'm an unhappy Pony tonight, and I thought maybe if I told someone, it might make me feel a little better.
It's not even like I have a good reason to be unhappy. School's started up again, and three of my classes are fun classes that I like (I'm guessing; I haven't had one of them yet), and one is a requirement that I won't ever have to do again. And I suppose every grad student is supposed to have moments of dramatic angstiness, and just suck it up and deal. And I really want to like my Ethno-bibliography professor, but being in her class makes me feel terribly illiterate and like a fraud who sneaked in the back door when the professors weren't looking. And I know the other students probably feel the same way, but that doesn't help.
And gamelan was supposed to be fun, and I was looking forward to it, and then somehow it wasn't fun and I might have to give up going home for Passover to play in the concert in April (or I might not -- it all depends on my family).
And maybe I'm just unhappy because vacation is over, poor spoiled me. And the weather's warmed up to freezing now, so that's a good thing. I don't understand how a day that starts out happy can end so unhappy when there wasn't anything specific to cause it.
Oh well. Maybe I should just suck up and deal. I should go make dinner now, I guess. I'm sorry. I'll be quiet now.

I have had days do that, too. It happens as especially lot this time of year -- something about the dark and the cold and the various holidays and the start of a new year that just seems to bring out the need for hugs. and another for later.

I'm sorry to hear your day went down the drain, so to speak. There are always those darned classes...where you really just feel completely lame and unqualified. (In my case it wasn't ethno-bibliography-whatsa-callit...it was medical anthropology/transcultural health class...ugh...me a journalism major in THAT class...I felt like a duck in with the swans.) But I hope it gets better for you...or at least you FEEL better. Never mind complaining on here! It's perfectly cool with me! Tha's what this Clouds Burst thing was for, far as I knew!! Feel free to blurt anyday. *passes French Pony something sweet* (Always makes me happy... Keep your chin up...you did great last semester, if I remember correctly, and no matter what the classes look like now, I'm certain you shall do fine again! Stick in there and rant as [glow=red,2,300]mmuchh [/glow] as you need!

I'm sorry you had such a rotten day yesterday, FP. I hope things go better today.

Geez, Pony, that sucks. Sometimes I think having a vacation makes things worse, not better. You get used to having a life and then you have to go back and spend all your time on Someone Else's priorities.
