Aww, I've never even been in a plane, let alone flown one. But it looks like you were having fun.

I really want to do it again...it was was SOOOOO fun. And yeah, I am having fun Joee! Our staff photographer took a load more pictures, I just posted four of them. We are going to run about 4 or 5 in the special feature section of the newspaper I work for. That is why I did the lesson, so I could describe it. I'll have to share it with you guys somehow. Perhaps just rewrite it into a post. Thanks for looking though! Hey karri....If I lived close enough it would be SOOO cool to see your father's plane. I think you said on the livejournal that he had a Cessna 182.

hey that looks fun! you should let me have a go...hehe jk, I have never flown before, I bet its a heck of an experience! Sure was, Amanda! It was my VERY FIRST time too. If you ever get the chance to do it, take that chance! It's awesome. I was SOOOO afraid to fly, I got physically sick at the airport when I was to fly to Florida to visit my parents. I figured, the age-old adage of "the best way to conquer your fears is to face them" might still be true and I tried it. Low and behold...I'm not longer afraid. Though I still don't LIKE commercial flights because for all I know the pilot could be SLEEPING up there. I like having my hands on the controls.

Im happy for you! I will take your advise and if I get the chance I will fly!!! and now that you have mentioned it... I think I would rather have my hands on the controllers too. That would not be good if your plane suddenly crashed because the pilot was asleap. *shrudders*

Idaho -- a hair closer than California, but harder to get to.

LOL...definitely closer, Karri! But still a long way! I guess I'll have to sell that book for sure now, huh! I have a college friend who lives in Idaho...except she is moving with her job. First to New Jersey, than...somewhere else I have forgotten. I'm not sure why! But Idaho sounds like a good place for flying...I mean, New York City or something would be darn near impossible!

It is a very good place for flying, and a handy place to be able to fly, two-thirds of the state is roadless wilderness.

Great pictures, Gwen! I rode in my uncle's small plane when I was young. Too noisy for me, I got a headache and motion sickness. I admire you for grabbing the opportunity. (Not to mention the plane's controls! LOL)
