Here's a bit of seasonal fun that Sarcastic Elf shared: snowflakes.lookandfeel.com/ ;D I adore time-wasters! Especially when I have more challenges to respond to than I have plot-bunnies.

That is so cool! I was a little slow in figuring out how to cut the flake. The trick is to put the scissors on an outside edge so that the screw in the center turns from red to green. Click to start the cut. Move the scissors to your next preferred location. Click again. As long as the screw stays green, you can snip the flake. Move the scissors back to an outside edge, the screw will turn red and the cut ends. My snowflake ended up looking like it had little neckties inside it. I'm gonna spread this URL around. It's loads of fun! I really should be drabbling right now. But I just found a new and funner thing to do!

I too loved this one! Thanks for sharing. I emailed a few flakes to friends and I hope that they give it a try too. My fiancee and I were amazed when we saw a flake in the gallery that looked like there were skulls in it! Weird what people can do with this sort of thing. I just cut away in weird shapes...It was so fun though!!!
;D

Clearly I've missed something at the site. How did you get such a large close-up of your flake, Karri? All I've seen so far once I saved my flake is the 6 flakes per page in the View Gallery option.

To save the flake, like this: snowflakes.lookandfeel.com/viewflake.php?id=5194430When you click Preview the flake, then you have the option of Saving the flake or Cutting some more. Save the flake, and then it will ask if you want to Download the flake, click on Download, and it will give you two options, one of which is View the flake, which will give you the big flake (and give you the URL). ;D

Ah! "I see!" said the blind man. I never tried the download option so I didn't know you could do that. I'll give it a try with the next flake I make.

This was so much fun...but I forgot what number my flakes were and I didn't download them! Does anyone know if there is a way to search for them by who made them? I entered my screenname in there as the "creator"...
